TERMS AND CONDITIONS
PAYMENT
A 50% non-refundable deposit per person per tour must be paid at the time of
booking. The balance is due 60 days before tour departure. When a booking is
made less than 60 days before departure, the full amount is payable at the time
of booking. If you fail to pay by the due date we reserve the right to cancel
your booking and retain your deposit.
PRICES
Prices are based on costs and exchange rates prevailing at the time of booking,
and are quoted in ZAR Rands. We reserve the right to adjust our tour prices
before or after your booking, until you have paid the tour price in full. Not
included in the tour price are airfares (unless stated), passport and visa fees,
vaccinations, insurances of any kind, excess baggage charges, airport departure
taxes, gratuities to tour guide/driver, alcoholic drinks, laundry, optional
activities, and any items of a personal nature.
CHANGES BY CLIENT
Changes made by you to your booking will incur a handling fee of R100 per
amendment. In addition, a cancellation fee may be due.
CANCELLATION BY CLIENT
Should you cancel for any reason prior to tour departure, the following
cancellation fees will apply: 60 days + before departure: non refundable deposit
will be retained.
Between 60 days and 21 days: 50% of total booking cost
21 days or less: 100% of total booking cost.
CANCELLATION BY US
Our scheduled tours are subject to minimum numbers being achieved. In the
unlikely event of a tour having to be cancelled for this reason, we will advise
you of the cancellation no later than 42 days before the departure date. We will
try to offer you alternative arrangements, but should those not be to your
satisfaction, we will refund all payments made to us. We will however, not be
liable for any claims made by you or for any additional costs incurred by you.
We also reserve the right to cancel a tour for any unusual unforeseen
circumstances outside of our control.
CHANGES TO YOUR ITINERARY
Because of the nature of our tours, it may become necessary to make alterations
to an itinerary. Where the change is significant we will, where possible and
practical, advise you of such changes directly or through your agent. Changes
could also be made en route due to road or weather conditions, vehicle
breakdowns or other circumstances.
No responsibility is accepted for delays experienced as a result of changes,
road or weather conditions, vehicle breakdown or any other reason.
TRAVEL CONDITIONS
Note that there may be different living standards and practices and different
standards and conditions with respect to the provision of services and
accommodations in South Africa and Lesotho.
TRAVEL DOCUMENTS
Citizens outside of South Africa must be in possession of a valid passport. Tour
participants must also ensure that they comply with all visa and health
requirements of countries they intend to visit. Your travel agent will provide
information on these requirements
INHERENT RISKS
You understand and accept that due to the adventurous nature of your proposed
tour you may exposed to inherent dangers and risks. The client hereby assumes
all such risk and does hereby release The Bush Camp from all claims and causes
of action arising from any damages or injuries or death resulting from these
inherent risks.
Certain activities undertaken on our tours may be physically taxing and a
reasonable level of fitness is recommended. You accept that you may be traveling
through areas which can be subject to, among other things, unfavourable
political, physical, health or climatic conditions. By booking with The Bush
Camp you are accepting these conditions.
HEALTH AND FITNESS
It is strongly recommended that you visit a doctor and dentist before your tour.
You must ask your doctor about current inoculation requirements. Full details of
pre-existing medical conditions must be furnished with your booking application
to The Bush Camp. Failure to do so is a breach of these conditions and may
result in your being excluded from the tour and all funds paid being forfeited.
Older clients and clients with pre-existing medical conditions may require a
doctor’s letter clearing them for the intended tour. The Bush Camp reserves the
right to cancel your booking and refund the money paid by you.
During the tour you are under the control of your tour guide, who has the
authority to determine whether you may continue with your tour.
AUTHORITY ON TOUR
At all times the decision of the tour leader or representative will be final on
all matters likely to endanger the safety and well being of the tour. The client
agrees to abide by the authority of the tour leader, who represents The Bush
Camp. The client must at all times comply with the laws, customs, foreign
exchange and drug regulations of the country visited. Should the client commit
any illegal act when on the tour, or, if in the opinion of the tour leader, the
client’s behaviour is likely to cause stress, annoyance or danger to others we
may terminate the client’s travel arrangements without any liability on the part
of The Bush Camp.
RESPONSIBILITY
The Bush Camp acts only as an agent for the various companies, owners and
contractors providing means of transportation, accommodation, or other services.
They assume no responsibility or liability in connection with the service of any
aircraft, vessel, carriage or other conveyance which is used wholly or in part,
in the performance of this duty to the passengers; neither will they be
responsible for any act, omission or error, or for any injury, loss, accident,
delay or irregularity, or any neglect or default of any company or person
engaged in carrying out the purposes for which tickets or coupons have been
issued. The Bush Camp assumes no responsibility or liability for errors or
omissions resulting from acts of God, strikes, weather, quarantines, sickness,
government regulations or any loss or expense resulting from the above
contingencies. Expenses for said losses shall be borne by the tour members.
