DAY 1
Depart P E at 08h00 and travel along the garden route, visit
Monkeyland & then lunch at the Heads in Knysna. Drive through
George and then up the historic Montagu Pass to Herold . Visit an
SA Breweries Hops Farm for a short guided tour of the processing
shed. Proceed to Cradock Farm (a wine farm in the mountains) and
settle into overnight accommodation with welcoming tea & then
enjoy a short evening walk to the vineyards, a cellar tour & wine
tasting. A “Braai” and local red wine around the fire to end the
day. |

DAY 2
Breakfast & then proceed to the Klein Karoo town of Oudtshoorn for
a visit to an ostrich farm and then to the spectacular Cango
Caves. Lunch in Oudtshoorn before driving up the Swartberg Pass to
overnight in Prince Albert. |

DAY 3
Enjoy an after breakfast walk/drive through Prince Albert and then
depart for De Rust via Meirings Poort where we will picnic for
lunch. Wine tasting at Domain Doornkraal then settle into
accommodation at Du Rust & if time permits browse in the village
before dinner. |

DAY 4
An early morning departure for the Baviaanskloof Wilderness Area
via Uniondale. Lunch in the wilderness on the banks of the Kouga
River , game viewing and then overnight at the Baviaanskloof
Lodge. |

DAY 5
An after breakfast stroll on the Citrus farm before the drive
through the Grootrivier Poort and marvel at the exquisite vertical
rock formation deeply incised by the “Great River”. A light lunch
at Tolbos in Patensie a visit to Sarah Baartmans final resting
place with it’s view of the fertile Gamtoos Valley before arriving
in Port Elizabeth. |
